Keisha

Here's a pic I drew of my first pet, a vibrant red chow-chow mix named Keisha, in response to an Epressive Drawing Class assignment envolving memories.

I based it off of the photo shown here:

I desaturated it in PhotoShop in order to make painting it in India Ink wash easier. Though the desaturated version ages her due to the light reflecting off her muzzle and around her eyes, the pic was actually taken when she was around 3 or so. I put my foot in the drawing/painting because she was always ooching to groom a foot.

The execution isn't quite right as even then she was a bit plumper, but still, not bad for a 1st attempt, I think. Maybe next time I'll try it in color in order to show off her beautiful coat!
